Beetles, Beetles, Beetles

I wish I was talking about the popular 60s band. Flea beetles (anything with a green leaf), Japanese beetles (eggplants, green beans), cucumber beetles, potato beetles, squash beetles (squashes and melons). You name it and that's what we farmers are battling with this year. They do an awesome job of killing your crops pretty quickly. We have traps out for the Japanese beetles and every other day we dump it in several water bowls for the chickens and they eat it up - PROTEIN! These beetles are a part of life and somehow we have to coexist. Life can have their ups and downs, it's how we deal with it that's important.
