July and August is a real struggle time for farmers. We are exhausted. We started in Feb doing indoor planting. Between March and June, we prepare the land, plant, harvest, and deliver vegetables. July and August are our hottest months. We are clearing spring crops, planting fall crops, dealing with bugs, tending to summer crops, and harvesting/delivering vegetables. This year, we are also building a high tunnel (greenhouse). We are exhausted!
BUT we do it with pride knowing that we are helping our community with fresh, healthy vegetables. Take a moment and thank your farmer.
